Should There Be Anambara Election While Mazi Nnamdi Kanu Is In DSS Dungeon?

By Mijovia News, August 21, 2021.

For the past two months and counting, IPOB leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has been in DSS dungeon undergoing both physical and emotional torture. The IPOB leader was kidnapped in Kenya by Kenyan special police and handed over to Nigeria Government. A crime known as extraordinary rendition.

Since Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was kidnapped, non of the current political leaders in Igbo land, except Enyinnaya Abaribe has condemned the actions of the federal government of Nigeria against the IPOB leader.

Nigeria government have recently embraced Boko Haram members saying they have surrendered. These Boko Haram members were outrightly forgiven and showered with gifts. That's after they have bombed and killed hundreds of thousands of Christians. They now walk free as if nothing happened.

In all these, Igbo leaders see nothing wrong that a man simply demanding for the freedom of his people is held in DSS dungeon while Boko Haram terrorists responsible for the death of more than 50,000 Nigerians are pampered and fed.

The question we must ask ourselves is this. Should there be elections in Anambra when Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is in prison?

On 9th August 2021, IPOB were able to shutdown entire East to press further the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. Going with the facts on ground, it is certain that IPOB have what it takes to stop any form of election in Igbo land.

With this in mind, do you think election should continue taking place while IPOB leader is still in jail?
