Nigerian Athletes Would Have Been Shot Had it Been They Protested In Nigeria Soil - Nigerians Reacts

Nigerians have reacted to the Nigerian athletes protesting in Tokyo over their disqualification from the ongoing games. Many have taken to their social media to tell the athletes that it would have been a disaster, had it been they are in Nigeria protesting against the Nigerian government. They would have been shot just like Nigeria military shot and killed not less than 100 youths during the #endsars protest.

Nigeria government have shown great dissatisfaction towards protest of any kind. Lots of IPOB youths have been shot and killed by Nigeria security. Also, more than 1000 Shiite Muslims were also killed by them.

10 Disqualified Nigeria athletes on Friday protested in Tokyo against their disqualification in the ongoing Tokyo 2020 Olympics. The Nigerian athletes were disqualified for not meeting the minimum testing requirements under Rule 15 governing the National Anti-Doping Federation.

Earlier before now Jumper Ruth Usoro, sprinter Favour Ofili and eight other Nigerian athletes were on Wednesday disqualified from the track and field events of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

Aside Usoro and Ofili, others affected were Chioma Onyekwere (discus), Annette Echikunwoke (hammer), Chidi Okezie (4X400m mixed relays), Knowledge Omovoh (4x100m women), Rosemary Chukwuma (100m), Glory Patrick (4X400m mixed relays), Yinka Ajayi (4X400m mixed relays) and Tima Godless (4X100m relays).

One thing the Athletes should be grateful for is the fact that they are not protesting in Nigeria soil and against Nigeria government.
