Biafra: Nnamdi Kanu Appropriating What Belongs To Us - Asari Dokubo

Mijovia News, July 28th, 2021.

Asari Dokubo is on Arise TV, this morning of 28th July, 2021 said that the name Biafra is an Ijaw property.

Biafra a name derived from the Bight of Biafra, which was suggested by Frank Opigo to Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu in 1967, just before the civil War, remains not just a name, but a symbol of strength and freedom for all people of the East.

Asari Dokubo appeared on Arise TV to lay claim to the name as belonging to his own people. According to him Biafra belongs to the Ijaw people of old Eastern Region and the Ibibios, and not the Igbos. He went further to accuse Mazi Nnamdi Kanu the leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) of appropriating what belongs to them.

Asari Dokubo is of the view that Ndị Igbo should leave the name Biafra to the Ijaw people, as it belongs to them.

However, what is still confusing is that same Asari Dokubo recently declared himself the president of Biafra, with Uche Mefor and Ralph Uwazurike as members of his cabinet.

When did Asari Dokubo started championing division among Igbo and Ijaw? Why fighting over a name, when you are not serious in the fight for the freedom of your people from Nigeria?
